Our experiences aren’t about the woman you think the world wants you to be, the woman you used to be, the woman you wish you could be…they are about the woman you are, because she is beautiful and so very deserving of love. 

One of the biggest misconceptions about boudoir is that you have to have the *perfect* body, the perfect financial situation, the perfect significant other to gift images to, and be able to look at yourself in the mirror and see zero flaws.

…WRONG. I’ve never *ever* photographed a client who saw zero flaws in the mirror. Boudoir is about showing up, allowing yourself to be open and vulnerable to this incredibly intimate experience, and owning who you are. If you wait until the day you think you are perfect, you are going to wait the rest of your life and this opportunity will pass you by. 

Your imperfections are welcome here, your brokenness is welcome here, your quirks are welcome here, your fear/doubt/timidness is welcome here. I will meet you where you are, and together we will create art that reminds you that no matter where you are in your journey–you are worthy, beautiful, and capable of facing your life head on.

One thing I am always guilty of is beating myself up because I’m not *exactly* where I want to be-don’t fear the process. I compare myself to the girl I think has it ALL, to the fit chicks I see power-walking in the neighborhood while I suck in my gut, to the entrepreneur who has achieved everything I’ve ever dreamed of, to the mom who grocery shops with five kids and makes it look effortless while I wrestle my one child in and out of the basket trying not to make a scene. 

I tend to forget that I am not a tree. I don’t have to stay exactly where I am–I can adjust and change things as I want. Wanna know what my biggest problem is? I’ve been AFRAID of the process. I hold myself back and get in my own way when I think about my dreams and goals. 

If you can relate, let me just drop the same truth bombs right here that I’ve been preachin’ to myself. No dream or goal is too big for you. Nothing is “out of your league.” You’ll never be perfect, and it’s okay to be a hot a** mess. Working towards your goals doesn’t have to be pretty–all you need is the belief in yourself that you were crafted to do *amazing*, world-changing things. 

Don’t Fear the Process

All of this is so in line with one thing I absolutely adore about the POWER of a boudoir experience. Once you’ve been *this* vulnerable in front of someone, you start to see that stepping out of your comfort zone and getting insanely brave is scary as sh*t at first, but it gives you proof that you CAN DO hard things. In fact, you can ROCK THEM. Don’t be afraid of the process, babe. Don’t let yourself believe you can’t have the things your heart aches for. DO NOT FALL INTO THAT TRAP. Don’t fear the process.

Lots of clients ask ” Can I keep my photos private?” The privacy and safety of our clients is a huge priority to us! We maintain many different levels of protection to ensure our clients images are private and safe if clients choose to keep their images private. Our clients may choose to let us share their beautiful photos from their session or to keep them entirely private or anonymous. The decision it completely yours.

The Decision is Yours to Keep Your Photos Private

Every client asks, “can I keep my photos private?” Of course you can! It is 100% up to you to make the choice to keep them private or to allow us to share them. Many of our clients do allow us to share their gorgeous photos, but we also understand the importance of discretion and privacy. Rest assured that your decision is entirely yours. Our studio has many levels of privacy for different peoples needs. And as a well established business in the community, we protect our images in various way to keep our business and our clients privacy the highest of our priority.

Although some clients are comfortable with letting us share their photos as we are a visual business and other clients will consider letting us use on their non-identifying photos. Clients may also choose to keep photos 100% private.

So, can I keep my photos private? YES!!! You should never have to worry about your images being used without permission. We respect your choice. If you have any additional questions about this, please reach out to us on the website.

We are a local, Northern Virginia + Washington DC boudoir photography company. We over 7 years of experience we have worked with women to show them their sexier side. The one question everyone wants to know is if we retouch? Yes, we retouch your boudoir photos.

I could retouch you. I could take 50 pounds off, give you perfect skin, smooth every ounce of you, give you more here and less there–have you magazine cover ready in a matter of minutes. But I won’t, because it would be literally wiping away the story of your life.

It sounds so great in theory: Finally seeing the backs of your legs with no cellulite, your boobs and stomach with no stretch marks, an instantly flatter tummy and a thinner chin.

BUT.
