Can I tell you something? Stop making excuses and do it!

Booking a boudoir experience is a *big deal*. Every single time one of you says “YES!” to yourself and this experience, I am reminded of this. It is so BRAVE to step outside of that oh-so-safe comfort zone, to stand in front of a stranger (with a camera–the same one you’ve spent your life trying to avoid!) to do this.

But ya know what? This experience is nothing like you are thinking. When most women think of boudoir, they think of things like:

-‘Sounds fun, maybe when I lose 10, 50, 100 lbs.’
-‘Oh hell no, I’m not rolling around in my underwear for a perfect stranger–another woman no less!’
-‘I don’t even let my husband see me in the light! No way, not for me!’
-‘I have no idea how to pose or be sexy. Pretty sure I don’t have a sexy bone in my body.’
-‘All of the other women in these images look fantastic, but I don’t look like them. No WAY she could make my butt look good.’

Sister, I’ve heard it ALL and it’s totally normal to feel like boudoir is a scary thing that would be impossible for you to enjoy or experience. BUT–99% of the fears that are holding you back are MISCONCEPTIONS. You don’t need to change, you don’t need to know how to pose for the images, and you ABSOLUTELY CAN pull off images just like this. There is POWER in my posing/lighting knowledge–it’s why I SPECIALIZE in this very specific, highly niché genre of photography. Posing women is what I am FANTASTIC at (unlike painting, cooking, or twerking).

Around here, we celebrate the fact that we are imperfect just like you. We welcome your mess, and we will unpack ours too. No matter what part of this experience you are afraid of–you are totally ready for this experience right now, just as you are.

Many client’s call us wanting to do a session, but fear they are not in their 20’s anymore. But the truth is, most of our clients are middle-aged and we do have a lot of ladies that come celebrate their birthdays with us. They are pampered with hair and makeup and then the shoot. Meet Christie. She is almost 43 this year and this is the message she sent me. She is also a past client from about 5 years ago. It isn’t uncommon for clients to return because their session made them feel beautiful in a way nothing else can.

I don’t care, I’ll make you look sexy in a turtleneck if I have to!

Is a boudoir experience right for you? You’ve probably been wondering, Oh, hey! I see you over there—sitting on the fence— trying to decide if a boudoir experience is right for you. While you are mulling it over, I want to drop a few truth bombs your way:

1. Do it for you. Whether or not you have a significant other, a boudoir experience should be for you, first and foremost. This is a very special experience designed to celebrate the woman you are–your accomplishments, the spaces you need to heal, and a golden opportunity for you to reconnect with the side of you that you think you’ve lost.

2. You do not need to change. You are ready for this experience just as you are. You don’t need to lose weight, get Botox, or get surgery first. You are beautiful NOW, you are worthy now, and you are deserving of this now.

3. You won’t be the one. So often, potential clients make the comment that they will be the one person I can’t “make” beautiful. Here’s the thing babe: I don’t MAKE anyone beautiful. My general rule is that I don’t Photoshop anything permanent on your body. Photoshop does WAY more harm than good. I don’t want you to see your final images and think “Oh I look beautiful because she photoshopped me.” I want you to see your images and see YOU. I have never photographed a professional model. All of the women you see on this page are REAL women–and they all had insecurities/fears just like you do. My expertise really shines in dynamite posing/lighting/coaching of expressions (this is why you can’t hire just ANYONE to shoot this).
