Why or what is your reason for doing a boudoir session? As a single mother, I am typically behind the camera, not in front. So I wanted to have the experience of being the star of the show. I also wanted a special way to document this moment in my life as entering into my 30s has been monumental for me as I embrace my womanhood.
Did you have any fears about your session? Were they relevant? Yes, many! I was worried that I wouldn’t feel confident during the session or wouldn’t be able to do some of the poses and then it would show on camera. By outfit #2, I had forgotten about all of my worries and just had fun! Roosh really made me feel comfortable.
Did you have any concerns regarding your size/shape? Feel free to share your size or concerns. Did we help you address those during your session or photography you in a way that your size/shape was not a concern? I’m a size 22 so to say I have a little extra fluff is a given. I had all of my physical insecurities (chin, cellulite, tummy, etc.) on my mind and was afraid they would show negatively on camera. The final results are beyond what I imagined. When I look at my photo album, I don’t see any of them, all I see is a gorgeous and happy person!
What was your favorite part of your session? My favorite part was hair and makeup. I don’t wear makeup often so getting to see myself made up and glamours was so special. Lyssa is so talented and did a fabulous job.
Did our session planning guide help you prepare for your session? Yes, it was a great help. I especially liked the timeline of when to book my nail and hair appointments and tips of what to do to prepare for the shoot.
Did you do a 1-1 session planning call with Roosh? I did and it was so helpful. Hearing Roosh walk me through what to expect helped eased a lot of the nervousness so when the big day came, I felt really prepared.
Would you do a session again? I cannot WAIT to do another session. I am constantly thinking about other clothes and accessories I want to wear in another session. To any woman wanting to do a session, DO IT!! It is an unforgettable experience and one you will treasure forever.
What made you decide to book with Roosh? How did you find your time with Roosh, the Photographer? Was she able to help you calm down, let go of your nerves, let go of your fears? And were you able to relax and enjoy your session? Anything else? The main reason I chose Roosh Photography is because she proudly advertises that she photographs and directs for all shapes and sizes. As a curvy girl, I wanted someone who would make me feel comfortable and take great pictures. She has such an awesome personality and her studio is gorgeous. She’s so kind and made me feel very much at ease during the session. I could tell she enjoys what she does which is evident in her work and overall demeanor.
What did you think of your final images/products? Whenever I feel down or overwhelmed, I pull out my album and take a minute to go through each picture. It’s a great reminder of my worth and strength. It’s priceless to me!
Did you use a pre-session payment plan with out studio and do you recommend it? The pre-session payment plan was so helpful. Saving is not my strong suit so being able to pay along the way at an affordable rate was awesome, I wouldn’t have been able to do the session without it.
